Addison Salski- President

Q: Tell us a little about yourself.

A: Hi, I’m Addison Salski and I am a sophomore at Iowa State University. I am majoring in Vocal Music Education and minoring in Dance. I am in the marching band, and enjoy theatre, choir and teaching dance. I have a younger sister and brother and a 5-year-old cockapoo named Mowgli. 

Q:When you think about Big Dreams what comes to mind?

A: When I think about Big Dreams, I think about giving to kids with heart conditions the opportunity to follow all of their dreams and passions by providing them with an Automated External Defibrillator. 

Q: How has Big Dreams impacted your life?

A: Big Dreams has impacted my perspective on how important it is for friends and family to join together and help those who are in need. It has truly been a blessing to be able to change the lives of so many young kids and families.

Sophia Zavilla- Vice President

Q: Tell us a little about yourself.

A: My name is Sophia Zavilla and I am 19 years old! I am a sophomore at Butler University majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in diverse learners. I enjoy spending time with family and friends!

Q: When you think about Big Dreams what comes to mind?

A: When I think of Big Dreams, I think about how this family foundation has touched many lives. I also think about how wonderful Big Dreams is as well as the kind-hearted people who are a part of this amazing foundation!

Q: How has Big Dreams impacted your life?

A: Big Dreams has impacted my life in many ways. It has given me the opportunity to help others as well as be around others that want to make a difference in someone’s life. I am very lucky to say that I am a part of Big Dreams for Little Hearts!

Hannah Colson- Secretary

Q: Tell us a little about yourself.

A: My name is Hannah Colson and I am 19 years old and a sophomore at Carthage College! I am majoring in Nursing. I play tennis and am a part of some clubs as well. 

Q: When you think about Big Dreams what comes to mind?

A: When I think of Big Dreams, I think about the family that started it all and their grace and kindness. I also think of all the families they've impacted and the lives they have changed!

Q: How has Big Dreams impacted your life?

A: Big Dreams has made a huge impact on my life. It’s amazing that these wonderful people I grew up with started this foundation and this has changed so many lives. This family foundation has also shown me as well as others that with God, anything is possible.

Ron Salski- Treasurer

Q: Tell us a little about yourself.

A: I am blessed to have a caring and generous family. My wife Julie and I have been married for 21 years and have three beautiful children, Addison,  Annalie, and Ashton. We like to help others. I am the Executive Director at Mundelein Park and Recreation District and love serving people. 

Q: When you think about Big Dreams what comes to mind?

A: Giving an opportunity for children with heart conditions to follow his/her dreams even with potential limitations while knowing that we can provide comfort and care if necessary.  The AED allows families to have a medical device at their fingertips.

Q: How has Big Dreams impacted your life?

A: I have met all families who received an AED and it is incredibly gratifying and touching to talk with them. They are appreciative and emotional which shows we are making a significant impact.  Our donors have been amazing and the reason that we are making a difference in society.
